Transformers Poster

A cool way to show off your love of Transformers is by showing off a Transformers Poster in your room or home.  There are lots of different kinds to but so we will discuss a few of them here.

The most popular of the posters for Transformers out right now are the Transformers movie posters.  Since the movies have been so popular even people who are not fans of the old Transformers series of cartoons are putting up transformers posters.  Especially of Megan Fox.

Movies (and by extension movie posters) based on former television shows have largely been huge hits.  Batman is a great example that immediately comes to mind.  The success of children’s shows like Transformers and Batman reincarnated as hit films for adults have movie goers wondering if hit adult television shows are next in line for the big screen.  Perhaps the global success of Sex and the City will inspire a studio to finance a Sopranos movie or an epilogue movie to the Lost final season (ABC’s hit show concluding in 2010).

There is also a good variety of posters of the original Transformers out there that are not hard to come by and can go a long way towards showing off your total Transformers geekness. G1 Transformers posters are the best and usually have some very cool scene from the original series of cartoons that are fairly obscure.  This is a G1 Transformers Poster of Optimus Prime beaten up and down:

Transformers Masterpiece

The Transformers Masterpiece series of toys is made by Takara and in the U.S., Hasbro.  This line of Transformers Toys is a spawn of the original Transformers G1 series of toys by the same companies.  The Masterpiece series has been made to look like the original series, but these toys don't transform in the same way.

There are only a total of seven Transformers that were recreated under the Masterpiece line of toys.  These Masterpiece Transformers also have a unique numbering system that us the two letters MP followed by a dash and number.  They number 1-8 (the Optimus Prime Masterpiece Transformer was released twice with two different numbers.)  These are as follows:

• MP-01: Convoy (Optimus Prime)
• MP-02: Ultra Magnus
• MP-03: Starscream
• MP-04: Convoy (Optimus Prime)
• MP-05: Megatron
• MP-06: Skywarp
• MP-07: Thundercracker
• MP-08: Grimlock

As you can see the Transformers that were used in the Masterpiece line are all collector oriented.  That is, the original toys of these characters were the most sought after by collectors.

If you decide to collect these, go after the second version of Optimus because he has his trailer in this version.  In the first version the trailer is made of cardboard.

The Darth Vader Death Star Transformer could be the coolest toy ever made!  It combines the best of two worlds; Star Wars and Transformers!  This toy was released sometime around the release of the Transformers movie in '07. The Death Star Transformer is made by Hasbro.  It comes with a Darth Vader mini figure, two tie fighters and three Stormtroopers.

G1 Shockwave

Transformers G1 Shockwave is one of the more rare Transformers G1 Action Figures out there.  A mint in a sealed box Shockwave can go for around $500 on eBay so if you can get your hands on one cheaper than that it's probably a good deal.

Shockwave is a Decepticon.  He was left in control of the Decepticons on Cybertron after Megatron left the planet in pursuit of the Autobots and a new energy resource.  He ruled in Megatrons stead for four million years never yielding to the Autobots but never defeating them either.  Shockwave is known for his cold hard logic.

Custom G1 Devestator

 A great custom built Transformers G1 Devastator is up for sale right now on eBay.  This Custom Transformer is awesome, very clean, very representative of the G1 series of characters from the cartoon.

Defstar from tfw2005.com builds custom Transformers and has really made an awesome Devastator.  You can do a quick search for custom Transformers to see if it's still available.

Fortress Maximus

 The G1 Fortress Maximus toy is an awesome find for any body that loves the Generation 1 Transformers series of toys.  Fortress Maximus is the largest G1 Transformers toy and was also the most expensive of these toys.  In fact, at $89.95, Fortress Maximus was the most expensive Transformers toy in the U.S.  It was released in 1987 and the next Transformers toy that reached that price would not be available for another twenty years!  This made buying Fortress Maximus difficult for most and results in an extremely rare Transformers G1 action figure.

Fortress Maximus can "transform" into several modes.  He can transform to robot mode, city mode and battle station mode.

Alternity Optimus Prime

Check out this eBay auction from Sabrina Ng featuring a custom Alternity Optimus Prime.  Sabrina has taken a break from the Henkei series to bring us an Alternity Optimus Prime that is out of this world.  This custom Transformers figure is currently at $220.00 after 27 bids at the time of this writing.  Sabrina brings her amazing style to this Custom Alternity Optimus Prime.

Above is a video review for Transformers Universe Classics 2.0 Ultra Silverbolt.  Silverbolt is the leader of the Aerialbots.  He is the biggest Aerialbot and forms the head and torso if Superion.  Silverbolt is armed with an electrostatic discharger rifle.  Silverbolt transforms into an airplane but is afraid of heights.

Check out the video review of the Transformers Animated Deluxe Blurr toy.  This Transformers toy is licensed by Tomy and is from the animated series.  Blurr is known for his speed and his dedication to completing the task at hand.  Blurr is an Autobot but does not spend a lot of time with other Transformers so he is not really used to communicating with them.
